Total Video Converter (TVC) is a shareware video and audio converter utility from EffectMatrix. It converts video formats as well as shows photos and burns the converted video to optical discs. Beginning with version 2.21, TVC supports almost all video formats save for SWF. Version (3.71) can convert and burn video to Blu-ray and AVCHD, a format that can be played back on PlayStation 3 and Blu-ray.

Like many other converters, Converter outputs formats such as MP4, 3GP, AVI (MPEG-4 Part 2) and AMR audio which are used by AVCHD, mobile phone, PDA, PSP, iPod, iPhone,Xbox 360, PS3, Microsoft Zune etc. Version 3.71 includes screen capture. Users have the option to combine several video or audio files into one and demultiplex and extract audio from videos and convert them to MP3, AC3, Ogg, WAV, AAC, etc. The program also converts videos to MPEG format compatible with standard DVD/SVCD/VCD and burn the converted videos.
TVC offers easy mode and advanced mode. Easy mode allows inexperienced users to simply import a video, select the desired format and convert it. Advanced mode allows the user to change many aspects of the video, such as size, bitrate and audio codec.
TVC runs on Windows 98 and later, as well as Mac OS . The trial version operates for 15 days, and a watermark will appear at the left top of every converted video.
Total Video Player comes with TVC. This allows many video and audio formats to be played.
In 2010, Total Video Converter for Mac was released. Some features were not available in the first release, such as burning discs.
